Wiz is looking for a German-speaking Commercial Counsel to act as a legal business partner to our revenue teams across EMEA. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of agreements with a focus on data privacy, helping to navigate legal risks while accelerating contract velocity in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a legal business partner to Wiz’s EMEA revenue teams, summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a business-friendly manner.
- Take ownership of drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a broad spectrum of legal agreements.
- Advise on contract interpretation and negotiation to accelerate contract velocity.
- Understand the context of customer and internal client positions to solve problems from their perspective.
- Triage a heavy workflow, set appropriate priorities with internal clients, and deliver results efficiently.
- Support the continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes.
- Manage agreements to ensure they comply with company policies and risk tolerance.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of in-house legal experience in a software or technology company.
- Fluency in German, both written and verbal.
- Practical knowledge of data privacy and experience handling data privacy questions, particularly when negotiating Data Processing Agreements.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing (or otherwise authorized to practice law) in Israel, the UK, or at least one country in Europe, with a demonstrated record of success.
- A strong 'business-friendly' style with an understanding that the legal team’s primary purpose is to support business growth.
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume of contracts, including SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems.
- Legal right to work in Germany without the need for visa sponsorship.
