Pratt & Whitney (RTX Corporation) is hiring a Cloud Automation Architect - DevOps (REMOTE) to design and implement Infrastructure as Code tooling for the Global ERP program. You will focus on automating cloud-based hosting solutions for SAP and related applications within Microsoft Azure, working as part of an agile product team.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and document automated deployment solutions using Infrastructure as Code patterns for compliant cloud application stacks.
- Provide automated provisioning and management for applications teams supporting traditional IaaS and modern serverless applications.
- Work within an Agile product team, taking objectives from the product owner, breaking them into detailed increments, and delivering committed capability on-time.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts using best practices and enterprise standards to deploy and maintain SAP environments.
- Convert existing Jenkins pipelines to GitHub Actions.
- Enhance existing pipelines to support critical environments requiring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Ensure service compliance with RTX IT Security policies, NIST 800-53, and CMMC control requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, communicating and documenting procedures, and recommending architectural changes when necessary.
- Travel up to 20%.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 10+ years of experience developing technical solutions for large complex IT systems with a bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling; Advanced degree and 7+ years related work experience.
- Technical understanding of MS Azure Cloud and infrastructure services, and a general understanding of cloud and on-premise networking, servers, and storage.
- Hands-on experience specifically with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions with an 'Automation First' attitude.
- Experience with production enterprise workloads and concepts: Microsoft Azure leveraging IaaS and PaaS offerings in Commercial & GovCloud, HA/DR cloud deployment strategies, Agile/SAFe software development methodologies and tools, various database technologies (SQLServer, Oracle) and data interchange formats (XML, JSON), identity and access management solutions (Ping, LDAP, Microsoft Server Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Active Directory), and Cloud Migration and Hybrid/Multi Cloud automation technologies.
- Current U.S. citizenship is required.

- Knowledge in Defense Contracting and/or Aerospace industry.
- Microsoft Azure Certifications.
