What You'll Do
Design and manage scalable database solutions using technologies like PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora, and MongoDB. Integrate database changes into continuous integration and delivery pipelines to support reliable, automated schema updates and rollbacks.
Use infrastructure as code tools such as Terra游戏副本, CloudFormation, and Ansible to provision and configure database environments. Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks to maintain system health, performance, and security across production systems.
Improve query efficiency through index optimization, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning. Implement replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and resilience. Work closely with development, SRE, and DevOps teams to support secure and efficient application interactions with databases.
Enforce data protection standards by applying encryption, access controls, and key management practices. Automate routine maintenance tasks to reduce manual effort and increase operational consistency. Lead investigations into complex production issues and drive solutions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years in database engineering or administration, with at least 3 years in cloud or DevOps environments
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or Aurora, with familiarity across multiple systems
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Liquibase for database change management
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP, with preference for AWS
- Understanding of database security practices, including encryption, auditing, and compliance
- Working knowledge of Kafka clusters for data streaming
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and system outages
