What You'll Do
This role is responsible for evolving enterprise infrastructure through automation and cloud-native practices. You'll help transition systems toward a mature Infrastructure as Code (IaC) model, working closely with engineering and support teams to design and deploy reliable, secure solutions on Azure.
You'll lead the research and development of scalable cloud architectures, ensuring alignment with operational needs and security policies. Your work will include analyzing technical requirements, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks in Azure SQL environments, and supporting end-to-end deployment pipelines.
Collaboration is key—you'll engage directly with stakeholders to clarify business needs, coordinate vendor activities, and review technical designs from peers. You'll also ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and risk management protocols, escalating concerns when necessary.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required, along with five years of professional experience in cloud engineering or a similar role. You must have extensive hands-on experience across multiple domains: cloud platforms (specifically Azure), infrastructure engineering, systems administration, software development, and systems architecture.
Proven track record in designing and deploying public cloud solutions is essential, including five years of experience with Azure-based IaaS automation using Python, JavaScript, BASH, or PowerShell. You should also have deep familiarity with REST and JSON API services, both in design and integration.
Three years of experience are required in several key areas: source control tools like GitLab and Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform, security best practices including Role-Based Access Control and Just-in-Time access, directory services (ActiveDirectory, LDAP), and cloud authentication models like Azure Service Principals. Experience with Continuous Configuration Automation tools such as Ansible is also expected.
Additionally, you'll need a solid foundation in IT service management frameworks, including ITSM, ITIL, and SDLC methodologies.
