The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Veterinary Forensic Pathology. This full-time position will join the Veterinary Forensic Pathology service, contributing to a mission of teaching, diagnostic service, and collaborative research.
What You'll Do
- Participate in and support the teaching and service activities of the Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory.
- Develop and participate in collaborative research projects.
- Provide didactic and clinical training for professional students and residents.
- Deliver continuing education and provide mentorship and education for graduate students and fellows.
- Independently sign out forensic pathology cases.
What We're Looking For
- A DVM or equivalent degree from an approved institution.
- Completion of a veterinary anatomic pathology residency training program or equivalent.
- Eligibility to take the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) Phase II Certifying Examination.
- Experience in veterinary forensic science and/or veterinary forensic pathology.
- The ability to independently sign out cases.
Nice to Have
- ACVP board-certification in anatomic pathology.
Team & Environment
This role is part of the Veterinary Forensic Pathology service within the Department of Comparative, Diagnostic, and Population Medicine.
