This position supports a college-focused ministry serving students at the University of Colorado Boulder. The role centers on fostering spiritual growth, building meaningful relationships, and guiding young adults in their faith journey through intentional outreach and discipleship.
Spiritual Leadership and Development
Individuals in this role commit to deepening their personal faith through consistent spiritual practices, including prayer, Scripture study, retreats, and fellowship. They will create and follow a yearly growth plan to strengthen their spiritual health and model these disciplines for others. Active participation in a local church and alignment with biblical values is expected. The staff member will also lead others in spiritual formation, mentoring volunteer leaders and students alike.
Ministry Operations and Team Leadership
The staff will recruit, train, and equip a diverse team of leaders to engage students through weekly gatherings, small groups, and discipleship programs. They will help plan and lead both on-campus and off-campus events, including seasonal camps and outreach initiatives. Strategic planning is a key responsibility, with regular evaluation of goals to expand reach and deepen impact within the college community.
Communication and Support
This role includes cultivating relationships with donors, sharing updates about ministry progress, and stewarding financial support with integrity. The individual will maintain accurate records, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and follow organizational policies. They will also collaborate with area leaders, attend regular meetings, and contribute to broader team objectives.
Qualifications and Commitment
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the organization’s Statement of Faith
- Strong relational and communication skills with students and adults
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold moral and ethical standards
- Willingness to engage in fundraising and donor relationships
- Preference given to candidates with a college degree
