- Develop tailored go-to-market strategies that reflect regional regulatory frameworks, cultural nuances, and funding landscapes across the UK, EU, and Lusophone markets including Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde
- Engage senior decision-makers—executive directors, trustees, IT leads, and programme officers—across decentralized or federated organizations to build alignment and drive adoption
- Advise on data protection compliance, including GDPR and UK GDPR, addressing concerns around data sovereignty, processing locations, and AI ethics
- Expand market presence by building relationships with key nonprofit technology platforms, sector consultants, and networks such as Bond, NCVO, and the European Foundation Centre
- Collaborate with teams in San Francisco to refine global sales approaches while adapting strategies to local EMEA contexts
- Provide strategic insights on regional market dynamics, competitive trends, and regulatory developments to inform product development and international deployment plans

- Track record of closing six-figure enterprise deals, particularly within complex, multi-entity organizations
- Experience navigating diverse procurement systems, budget cycles, and governance models across international nonprofits or federated institutions
- Strong grasp of data privacy regulations and the ability to discuss AI, data use, and security confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently across time zones, consistently exceeding targets with minimal oversight
- Fluency in English and native or professional proficiency in Portuguese (European or Brazilian); additional languages such as Spanish or French are an advantage
- A genuine interest in AI and a commitment to its ethical, safe development
- Passion for social impact and experience in mission-driven sectors
Preferred Background
- Direct experience selling to or working within EMEA nonprofits, INGOs, foundations, or public sector agencies
- Familiarity with international development funding sources, including bilateral institutions and European grant-making bodies
- Knowledge of nonprofit technology ecosystems—especially Salesforce NPSP, Blackbaud, CiviCRM, or Raiser’s Edge
- Active involvement in the nonprofit community through volunteering, advisory roles, or prior employment
- Existing connections within Lusophone Africa or European nonprofit networks
- Understanding of key nonprofit focus areas such as humanitarian response, global health, environmental conservation, or migration
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in London or other EU locations. Exceptional candidates may work remotely within the UK or EU, provided they maintain a daily overlap of 4–5 hours with teams in San Francisco. Expect up to 40% travel across EMEA for client engagements and events, with quarterly visits to the San Francisco headquarters.
Culture and Values
The organization prioritizes the ethical development of AI, emphasizing safety, transparency, and societal benefit. You’ll collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business teams in a globally distributed, autonomous environment. Success here means advancing technology that serves the public good—while operating with integrity and long-term responsibility.
