Red Hat is hiring a Civilian Strategic Account Executive to join our Sales team. In this role, you will lead a Civilian Account team focused on expanding Red Hat's market share and revenue within a Civilian agency. You will build new relationships and grow business with existing customers by selling our high-tech offerings and services.
What You'll Do
- Successfully sell Red Hat's offerings and services across Civilian Accounts.
- Meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals, setting high standards for presenting the Red Hat value proposition.
- Create strategic and tactical sales plans and lead the extended Sales team in implementing them to maximize revenue and growth.
- Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing.
- Meet assigned sales quotas by acquiring new customer accounts and renewing and growing existing relationships.
- Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and price quotes.
- Accurately forecast and close sales in accordance with company goals.
- Manage internal associates like sales engineering and technical support.
- Work with partner sales and services teams as well as IT and business executives.
- Handle all aspects of the sale, including pricing negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with a demonstrated record of success.
- Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and services.
- Solid understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing.
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to sell at the executive level.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven history of exceptional quota attainment.
- Experience with consultative customer engagement with a major enterprise software company or in the sales division of an enterprise software reseller.
- Must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably in the software or IT industries.
- Broad understanding of the government acquisition process across Civilian Agencies.
- NASA specific experience.
- Solutions sales experience with cloud, virtualization, and emerging technologies.
- Experience working with MEDDPICC sales framework.

You will lead a Civilian Account team, which is part of the Field Sales team.

- Compensation range: $238,670.00 - $393,670.00 (inclusive of base pay and target incentive compensation).
