Responsibilities
- Coordinate civil engineering design for projects or specific components, collaborating with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical leadership across civil engineering areas such as earthworks, roadways, drainage systems, foundations, constructability, and cross-discipline coordination.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, digital models, and technical drawings to meet relevant standards and specifications.
- Create and evaluate study reports, design documentation, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and manage technical and commercial risks, contributing to risk mitigation planning.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and support early-career engineers, designers, and drafters in technical execution and professional growth.
- Direct civil design teams as needed to meet project objectives.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and assisting in winning new projects aligned with strategic goals.
- Foster trusted, long-term relationships with current and potential clients to encourage repeat engagements.
- Use project delivery experiences to uncover additional opportunities across service areas and disciplines.
- Assist in developing proposals, including defining scope, providing technical content, and engaging clients when necessary.
- Represent the organization externally through participation in industry events, professional groups, and client meetings to strengthen market visibility and brand reputation.
