The Career Success Coach (CSC) at The Quality Group (TQG) will support learners in Correlation One’s data training and jobs programs by providing professional development coaching, career guidance, and job search support. The role works closely with Teaching Assistants and program staff to ensure learner success through structured coaching and engagement activities.
What You'll Do
- Conduct 1:1 coaching meetings for up to 6 hours per week
- Offer 4–6 hours of office hours availability per week
- Hold up to 12 thirty-minute (or shorter) meetings per week, with a maximum of 8 hours weekly
- Determine office hour availability with mutual agreement from learners as-needed
- Share weekly asynchronous updates with the Professional Development (PD) team
- Celebrate wins, discuss specific learners needing support, and share announcements in weekly updates
- Attend bi-weekly pod meetings lasting 45 minutes
- Use bi-weekly pod meetings for in-depth check-ins, updates on program priorities, and collaboration with other CSCs
- Track notes from 1:1 coaching meetings related to learner job search progress (~5 minutes per meeting)
- Update the job search status for every learner in the cohort monthly (~1 hour per month)
- Reply to all Slack and email communication within 24 hours (~1 hour per week)
- Provide feedback on resume and LinkedIn profile using standardized rubrics
- Deliver feedback on three exercises throughout the program: Resume draft, LinkedIn profile, and final resume
- Provide approximately 10 minutes of feedback per learner per exercise
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in career development or coaching, professional counseling, or related program management focused on job seekers
- Outstanding, executive-ready written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience developing trusting relationships and effective guidance to adult learners and/or job seekers
- Experience delivering career coaching in an entirely remote format
- An affinity for communicating with others in an empathetic and considerate manner
- Strong work ethic, ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Proactive problem-solver, high attention to detail, and a quick learner
- High level of technical proficiency and comfortable adapting to new tools and technologies with ease
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack
- Strong local job-market knowledge in cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide
- Understanding of Australia’s vocational pathways (TAFE/VET)
- Familiarity with local hiring norms and job search channels (Seek, LinkedIn, typical resume expectations)
- Understanding of skills-based hiring trends in tech
