Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Cardiology Clinical Review Nurse to ensure the accuracy and completeness of clinical data. In this hybrid role, you will abstract information from patient records, enter it into specialized databases, and support quality initiatives for cardiac care services.
What You'll Do
- Collect and abstract cardiac care data from patient medical records.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of abstracted data, cross-referencing information from multiple sources.
- Adhere to specific clinical data abstraction guidelines, such as those set by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), and present metrics at meetings.
- Enter abstracted data into a database or registry, maintaining and updating it as necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and routine audits to ensure data integrity.
- Remain informed about developments in cardiac care and data management.
- Participate in reaccreditation activities and Continuing Education as necessary.
- Incorporate Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles, Mission Statement, and Goals into daily activities.
- Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
- Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
- Self-motivated, highly detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.
- Ability to retrieve data from hard copy and computer-based medical records.
- 3-4 years in an inpatient acute care setting.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Science.
- Experience in an Invasive Cardiology Laboratory or Cardiac Operative setting.
Team & Environment
Works under the direction of the CV Service line manager and the Medical Director of the Clinical Service.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid full-time position, combining remote and on-site work.
