We're seeking a skilled CAD Developer to join our fully remote team, bringing deep technical knowledge in CAD/CAM systems to support the design and development of advanced engineering software tools. In this role, you'll work hands-on with C++ and C#, leveraging QT and VT frameworks to build high-performance, user-friendly design applications.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement CAD/CAM-specific tools that enhance functionality and performance in both desktop and browser-based environments.
- Act as a technical resource for developers who are new to CAD/CAM workflows, helping them overcome domain-specific challenges.
- Collaborate on the development and scaling of online CAD platforms, ensuring solutions are production-ready and maintainable.
- Provide regular progress updates and realistic time estimates to leadership, maintaining transparency and alignment.
- Take ownership of problem-solving, identifying gaps in knowledge or implementation and driving improvements.
What We're Looking For
- At least four years of experience working with CAD/CAM systems and delivering applications via web platforms.
- Strong background in C++ or C#, with practical experience using QT or VT frameworks.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain online CAD/CAM solutions, with a focus on scalability and usability.
- Self-driven mindset with a track record of stepping forward to resolve technical challenges.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex CAD concepts to non-specialist developers.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fashion design CAD systems.
- Familiarity with React, Python, or AWS for full-stack integration.
- Work with ODA and CFX libraries to extend CAD software capabilities through plugins.
- Development experience on Linux environments.
- Knowledge of standard CAD tools like AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator.
- Understanding of CAD file formats including .dxf, .dwg, and .mdl.
Work Environment
This is a remote, full-time position with fixed working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM IST (summer) or 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM IST (winter), ensuring consistent collaboration without weekend obligations.
