Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services is looking for a Buyer to join our Energy & Utilities business, supporting a regional portfolio of critical infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Procurement Lead, you will play a key role in sourcing the right materials and services at the right cost and time to enable successful project outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Deliver sourcing, purchasing and contracting activities in line with project procurement plans
- Manage RFx processes, negotiations, supplier engagement and contract formation
- Ensure compliance with Downer standards, P2P processes, DFA and governance frameworks
- Build strong relationships with project teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Identify and manage procurement risks and opportunities across cost, schedule and quality
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain management, procurement, engineering, project management or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in procurement, project management and/or contract management within construction, utilities, energy, oil & gas or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay and source-to-contract processes
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability
