About the Role

Braze is hiring a Business Development Specialist to provide critical administrative and operational support across our Strategic Solutions & Growth (SSG) organization. You will maintain the tools, processes, and data that enable effective business development and capture activities across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and disseminate new opportunities from eBuy, SAM.gov, and other federal acquisition sites.
  • Maintain the CRM (Salesforce) for accuracy, completeness, and data integrity across opportunities, contacts, and accounts.
  • Manage the cadence and quality of BD pipeline updates, dashboards, and reporting to leadership.
  • Support proposal readiness by tracking opportunity status, deadlines, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate intake, assignment, and tracking of BD requests from leadership and capture teams.
  • Monitor the accurate distribution of sales reports and intelligence essential to the sales organization.
  • Recommend revisions to existing reports or assist in developing new reports as needed.
  • Manage the sales governance process and create/maintain documentation for sales processes.
  • Proactively develop, maintain, and continuously improve SSG processes, templates, and knowledge repositories.
  • Partner with IT and Marketing to ensure alignment of CRM workflows, content libraries, and opportunity tracking.
  • Support system enhancements and data governance to enable consistent reporting and portfolio visibility.
  • Maintain standardized procedures for opportunity tracking, lead qualification, and pursuit transitions.
  • Monitor sales organization compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization or redesign and develop operational measurements.
  • Support onboarding and enablement of BD and Capture team members on Braze's tools, systems, and dashboards.
  • Manage SSG SharePoint and documentation libraries to ensure accessibility and consistency of BD resources.
  • Coordinate internal communications around BD wins, lessons learned, and strategic priorities.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating BD-related training and learning sessions.
  • Provide reliable and timely operational support that enables SSG leaders to focus on strategy and growth execution.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales operations, or government contracting environments.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM (or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office/SharePoint tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience monitoring federal procurement systems (eBuy, SAM.gov, FPDS).
  • Collaborative, service-oriented mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Results-driven self-starter with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment with a can-do attitude and growth mindset.

Nice to Have

  • A quantitative or technical background.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience using Salesforce.com and fluency in Microsoft Office applications – particularly Excel.
