As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a key role in identifying and engaging potential customers for a rapidly expanding legal tech platform. Your primary focus will be outbound prospecting using phone, email, and LinkedIn to connect with decision-makers, uncover needs, and set qualified meetings for the sales team.
What You'll Do
- Make 60–80 outbound calls daily, adjusting volume based on research depth and conversation outcomes
- Investigate target accounts to understand organizational structure, workflows, and challenges
- Bypass gatekeepers confidently and deliver concise, value-focused messaging to stakeholders
- Conduct discovery calls to assess fit, timeline, and buying criteria
- Aim to schedule 25–30 qualified sales meetings per month
- Collaborate with Account Executives to observe deal progression and refine outreach tactics
- Keep HubSpot CRM updated with accurate, timely activity and contact data
- Develop and optimize prospect lists using ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sourcing tools
- Iterate on messaging based on feedback from managers and sales partners
Requirements
- 1.5–2+ years as an SDR/BDR or in an outbound B2B SaaS or tech sales role
- Demonstrated success generating pipeline through cold outreach
- Strong communication skills, especially over the phone and in discovery conversations
- Experience qualifying leads and identifying buyer motivations
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tech such as HubSpot, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, or Salesloft
- History of meeting or exceeding sales targets
