SGS Australia / Fulcrum Robotics is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the sale of analytical services to both existing and new customers. This role focuses on securing business opportunities to meet revenue targets for SGS Health and Nutrition through a structured sales process.
What You'll Do
- Generate leads and sales through client and prospect relationship development.
- Close sales with prospective clients and maintain functional relationships with major accounts.
- Develop relationships with current clients to maintain business and expand into other areas within the account.
- Secure master service agreements with perspective clients.
- Conduct market research to assist in annual marketing and sales plans.
- Attend an annual conference and assist with marketing and sales activities, following up on leads from various sources.
- Generate proposals for existing clients and prospects.
- Assist in the development of materials and implementation of the marketing plan.
- Follow up with new clients to ensure needs are met and to expand business within their organization.
- Discuss new trends or programs with management to improve and enhance the business.
- Follow through on campaigns developed by the business development team.
- Work proficiently with a contact database to input leads and maintain proper contact.
- Participate actively in appropriate industry organizations when requested to promote the company.
What We're Looking For
- A four-year degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or Life Science.
- Over five years of business development experience in sales and marketing.
- Business development experience with pharmaceutical and medical device companies and CDMOs.
- Technical and industry knowledge.
- A client-focused mentality.
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Ability to ensure proper maintenance and organization of marketing and sales resources.
- This role requires up to 25% travel for meetings, training, and business needs.

- An advanced degree such as an MBA or MS.
