Sopra Steria, one of Europe's leading management and technology consultancies, is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Transport & Mobility sector. You will identify new business opportunities, develop offers, present solutions, and support strategic account expansion while leading complex projects.
What You'll Do
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, developing offers, presenting solutions, and supporting the expansion of strategic accounts.
- Structure complex matters, set clear priorities for decisions, and ensure appropriate involvement of stakeholders at all levels.
- Actively shape the further development of the Transport & Mobility portfolio with professional, methodological, and strategic input.
- Build trusting relationships with customers, recognize new needs early, and develop sustainable transformation and mobility solutions with them.
- Take overall responsibility for demanding projects in the transport and mobility environment, from analysis and conception through to control, implementation, and successful completion.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams, foster close collaboration, and ensure results are qualitatively convincing and strategically tailored to customer requirements.
- Represent modern leadership: clear in attitude, encouraging in style, solution-oriented in action, and with high demands on quality and sustainable customer success.
- Work flexibly across Germany in offices, on-site with customers, and from home, depending on customer and project situation.
What We're Looking For
- A successfully completed university degree in economics, transport, (business) computer science, or a related field.
- Long-standing experience in the transport and mobility industry, for example in infrastructure, operations, planning, mobility strategy, or digitalization.
- Excellent familiarity with key industry topics, including infrastructure and operational processes, mobility concepts, network strategies, and performance and quality management.
- A keen sense for customer needs, as well as experience in developing offers, presenting solutions, and expanding business potential.
- A proven track record of successfully managing complex projects or programs, knowing how to lead teams, set priorities, and achieve reliable results.
- Strong communication, moderation, and presentation skills, convincing both internally and externally—operationally and at management level.
- A structured, strategic, and decisive way of working, while maintaining an overview even in complex undertakings.
- Very good German language skills at C1 level and good English skills.
