The Business Development Manager will drive growth by positioning YipitData's products within the existing client base, managing commercial relationships, identifying upsell opportunities, and leading the full sales cycle. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams to support client success and expand enterprise agreements.
What You'll Do
- Effectively managing the commercial relationship with current clients
- Developing rapport with key decision makers
- Identifying upsell opportunities
- Running the sales process from beginning to end
- Negotiating enterprise agreements
- Creating advocates for YipitData's products
- Assisting clients in finding answers to their key questions
- Collaborating closely with client strategy, research, and data product teams
What We're Looking For
- At least 3+ years full cycle sales experience (subscription sales) in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of not only meeting, but exceeding sales goals
- Successfully introduced a complex product (financial preferred but not required) to new customers
- Experience hunting for new business / acquiring new logos
- At least 1 year of experience closing deals, preferably with complex agreements
- Negotiated large and complex agreements
- Expert at conducting in-depth discovery calls
- Team player motivated by the company’s success, not just personal success
- Excited about the integration of data and financial analysis
- High EQ with sensitivity to clients’ needs and ability to quickly develop warm client relationships
- Resourceful, resilient, and strong oral and written communication skills
- Great questioning skills

Annual on-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $190K (uncapped), consisting of a $95K base salary plus variable commission earned at 100% of quota. Final offer may vary based on experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal benchmarks. Equity is included in the compensation package.
Work Mode
Remote-friendly with option to work from US headquarters in NYC or office hubs; flexible work hours; open vacation policy. Locations include: NYC, Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, Seattle, or anywhere else in the US (remote).
