As a Business Development Manager, you will lead commercial expansion in the Netherlands, working closely with the Country Manager to establish a strong market presence in both public and private sectors. This role is central to building the company’s footprint from the ground up, identifying new opportunities, and converting them into long-term customer relationships.
What You'll Do
- Drive direct B2B sales and business development with a primary focus on the private sector
- Support market entry by building a robust pipeline, acquiring key clients, and increasing brand visibility
- Act as a strategic partner to the Country Manager, helping shape local go-to-market strategies
- Develop and manage key customer accounts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring growth and retention
- Build and nurture a network of partners, including resellers and system integrators, in alignment with headquarters
- Collaborate with internal teams across delivery, engineering, product, and service to ensure successful project execution
- Represent the company at industry events, digital forums, and networking platforms
- Provide market insights to influence product positioning and marketing strategies in the Dutch context
Requirements
- University degree in Business, STEM, or a related field
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in B2B environments
- Private sector experience is essential; public sector or GovTech background is highly valued
- Familiarity with SaaS models, cloud-based solutions, and digital transformation initiatives
- Strategic thinker with a strong ability to close deals and manage complex sales cycles
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives and decision-makers
- Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams
- Native-level Dutch (C2) and advanced English (C1) proficiency required
