Hilton is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Adelaide property. In this role, you will identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to drive revenue growth across rooms, events, and ancillary services. Your focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders while executing strategies aligned with the hotel’s commercial objectives.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting local, regional, and national clients including corporate companies, PCOs, travel managers, and travel management companies.
- Identify new business opportunities in line with hotel positioning, brand, and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to align corporate acquisition strategies.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to inform strategy.
- Establish key performance metrics to measure the success of business development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, PCOs, and decision-makers.
- Manage pipeline activity from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Liaise with internal departments like Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Events to meet client requirements.
- Deliver revenue growth targets through new corporate account acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and corporate rates in line with hotel policies.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop campaigns, offers, and promotions that attract corporate clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activity, pipeline, and revenue projections.
- Represent the hotel at corporate, industry, and networking events to build awareness and generate leads.
- Participate in industry associations, exhibitions, and conferences relevant to corporate and leisure travel, MICE, and business markets.
- Organize client events, site inspections, and familiarization tours to showcase the hotel.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and update pipeline activity regularly.
- Produce reports on business development performance, revenue contribution, and ROI.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on market trends and client needs.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure integrated commercial strategies.
- Work closely with Finance and Revenue teams to maximize yield and profitability from all market segments.

- A proven track record in achieving revenue targets and developing long-term client relationships.
