Solenis is hiring a Business Development Manager – Food Safety to lead our consulting expansion in the Benelux and Nordic markets. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from initial client conversations through contract closing and implementation, while building strong partnerships with food producers, retailers, and service providers.
What You'll Do
- Lead food safety consulting sales in the Benelux and Nordic region from client conversations to contract closing and implementation.
- Develop strong client relationships with food producers, retailers, and service providers as their go-to partner for food safety and hygiene solutions.
- Drive commercial growth through strategic planning, forecasting, and pipeline development, while being responsible for financial targets (revenue, profitability, margin).
- Oversee project delivery by coordinating internal consultants and external service providers to ensure timelines, resources, and quality are met.
- Contribute to team building by helping recruit and train new consultants, build partnerships, and expand the consultancy offering in key markets.
What We're Looking For
- A degree (Bachelor or Master) in food safety, food science, food technology, quality management or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in food safety, operational excellence, or quality management.
- Commercial insight to understand business needs and translate them into compelling proposals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, confident with technical and strategic audiences.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Based in Belgium or the Netherlands with ability to travel occasionally across the region.
Nice to Have
- Experience with customer-facing or consulting exposure.
- French or a Nordic language proficiency.
