Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring an Building Engineer to ensure the reliable operation of facility equipment. In this role, you’ll apply deep technical expertise in one core craft area while performing maintenance across a range of systems. What You'll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on-site with minimal disruption.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
- Lead facility services including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance oversight.
- Ensure an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies, and develop sources for stock materials.
- Record equipment readings, make adjustments, and perform cleaning, inspection, calibration, and part replacement.
- Comply with policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Review monthly service requests to identify and correct recurrent operational problems.
- Evaluate vendors and suppliers for quality and competitive pricing; prepare purchase orders and verify deliveries.
- Monitor the quality and pricing of work performed by outside contractors.
- Lead or assist with event setup/teardown activities including electrical, audio visual, and security coordination.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of similar working experience.
- Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent.
- Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s (or within 90 days of employment).
- Ability to analyze system operations, determine causes of malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be available for Call-in work.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and lie down for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Compensation: $62,500 - $72,800
