The BR Financial Analyst will play a key role in Sporty's expanding Finance team in São Paulo, Brazil, supporting financial operations with a focus on digital payments and high-volume reconciliations. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You'll Do
- Support in managing accounts payable and receivable, with a focus on digital payment methods (payment providers, PIX)
- Perform daily, detailed reconciliations of high volumes of data
- Identify and resolve all differences promptly through engaging with Payment Service Providers, Operations, and Fraud teams
- Process invoices, ensuring on-time approval and payment
- Resolve any queries with vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient procure-to-pay cycle
- Perform key financial controls, constantly reviewing and refining these to ensure they operate at optimal levels
- Provide ongoing and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support data-based decision-making
- Work alongside compliance and product teams to ensure the security of financial operations
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong working relationships with local banks, auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
- Represent the company in communications with government agencies and industry associations, when requested
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant, Treasury, or Finance professional
- At least 1 year of experience in the betting or fintech industries
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related fields
- A relevant accounting qualification is required
- Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Practical communication abilities
- Knowledge of banking systems and corporate finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Advanced/Fluent English
- Experience with high-volume reconciliations (microtransactions)
Nice to Have
- Intermediate Spanish
- Experience and familiarity in the gaming, betting market, or online entertainment, fintech, or e-commerce sectors
