Mangone Law Firm is hiring a Bilingual Junior Paralegal or Legal Assistant (English-Spanish) to join our team focused on humanitarian immigration law. In this 100% remote role, you will apply your language skills and legal knowledge to directly support clients through critical legal processes, making a tangible difference in their lives.
What You'll Do
- Draft and take detailed client declarations.
- Conduct research and gather case-specific information.
- Learn and apply internal firm processes and legal workflows.
- Communicate directly and clearly with clients in both Spanish and English.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- A minimum of 6 months of direct experience with humanitarian immigration cases (VAWA, T Visa, U Visa).
- Proven experience in taking client declarations and drafting legal documents.
- Basic knowledge of immigration legal documents, processes, and workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Strong command of written drafting, grammar, syntax, and legal style.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong client communication skills, marked by clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
- A high level of attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, workflows, and legal concepts.
- A client-focused mindset with sensitivity to humanitarian cases.
- Analytical thinking and ability to organize facts logically.
- Adaptability to changes in case requirements or regulations.
