Highmark Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide essential case and condition management services to members with behavioral health concerns. In this remote role, you will use clinical and motivational interviewing skills to assess needs, establish goals, and support members' self-management.
What You'll Do
- Function as the primary contact for members with behavioral health needs, providing coaching and intensive case management interventions.
- Conduct telephonic clinical and psycho-social assessments to address members' health and wellness needs.
- Develop case-specific plans of care using a clinical information system to establish short and long-term goals.
- Establish a schedule for regular telephonic contact with each member to review progress and assess for additional needs.
- Communicate with members' treating providers in more complex clinical situations requiring case management intervention.
- Identify online, telephonic, and community-based resources to help members achieve their personal health goals.
- Proactively incorporate lifestyle improvement and prevention opportunities into member interactions and coaching.
- Ensure all activities are documented in compliance with business, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with case and condition management teams to provide co-management activities.
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health and medical topics.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma/GED with an RN license OR a Master's Degree if a licensed Behavioral Health Professional.
- 3 years of experience in behavioral health clinical, case management, and/or condition management.
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR one of the following: LSW, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, or PhD.
Nice to Have
- For Registered Nurses, a BSN or MSN is preferred.
- Advanced training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
- Experience working with the healthcare needs of diverse populations.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Case Management Certification.
Technical Stack
- PC-based system applications and reporting packages.
- Microsoft Office applications.
Team & Environment
You will collaborate with case and condition management teams to provide co-managed services for members.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $57,700.00-$107,800.00.

This is a fully remote position.
