United Overseas Bank is looking for an AVP, Payment/Tax Operations & Advisory to join our team. You will be responsible for interpreting tax legislation, providing advice, and ensuring compliance and fair decision-making within our banking operations.
What You'll Do
- Interpret Tax legislation and provide advice when and where necessary.
- Respond to queries in relation to Tax legislation.
- Review appeals, refer and examine details to ensure fair decisions have been made.
- Work towards alignment with banking legislation level.
- Apply the best practical tax situations (e.g., audit, controls, enforcement, supervision, quality assurance, penalties, interest).
- Monitor, study and utilize judgements and opinions in the field of taxation (judicial case law, legal advisor).
