OpsFi is looking for an Audit Senior to join its audit division. In this remote role based in South Africa, you will deliver audit services to UK-based business clients for our UK chartered accountancy firm. This is a key position within a growing, modern, and tech-focused practice.
What You'll Do
- Plan, execute, and complete audits, reporting directly to managers and partners.
- Prepare accounts, reports, and other client assignments.
- Coordinate audit planning with clients and internal departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and third parties.
- Lead audit teams, completing jobs with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Contribute to business development by promoting the firm's services to existing clients and prospects.
- Supervise, develop, and review the work of trainees and junior staff.
What We're Looking For
- Recent audit and assurance experience within an audit firm.
- Passed both board exams OR passed the ITC Board exam and writing the APC Board exam in 2025.
- Qualified CA(SA) OR eligible to register as a CA(SA) within the next 6 months; OR an ACCA Member/Affiliate with 3 years of external audit experience.
- Experience leading external audit assignments from planning to completion under International Standards on Auditing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with senior staff and clients.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Motivation to take responsibility and maintain high-quality service.
- Sound knowledge of audit risks, awareness of personal limitations, and knowing when to seek assistance.
- Key characteristics: strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, professional approach, and commitment to top-quality client service.
