Weekday is hiring an Assistant Manager – Business Development to drive revenue growth by acquiring and expanding enterprise clients for our insight-led research solutions. You will own the complete sales lifecycle and manage a healthy, predictable pipeline.
What You'll Do
- Own the complete sales lifecycle: from prospecting and discovery through solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
- Drive new business acquisition across assigned geographies and industry sectors.
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with predictable conversion rates.
- Engage CXOs and senior stakeholders to understand complex business challenges and position research-driven consulting solutions.
- Collaborate with delivery and research teams to co-create customized proposals aligned with client needs.
- Manage and grow existing accounts through repeat business, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline visibility.
- Participate in sector-focused campaigns, industry events, and thought-leadership-driven selling initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 4–5 years of experience in B2B solution selling.
- Experience within market research, consulting, analytics, or knowledge services.
- Proven skills in B2B consultative selling and solution/value-based selling.
- Strong track record in new business development, account management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in proposal development and commercial negotiation.
- Skilled in pipeline management and forecasting.
- Strong communication and articulation skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to engage senior leadership.
- Structured thinking and a problem-solving approach.
- High ownership mindset with strong outcome orientation.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with market research, customer experience (CX), employee experience (EX), brand advisory, or consulting services.
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, Lusha, or similar tools.
- Comfortable developing presentations, solution decks, and handling commercial discussions.
- Willingness to travel moderately within the assigned geography.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to clients in technology, manufacturing, BFSI, or professional services sectors.
- Existing regional client relationships or strong professional networks.
