Role OverviewAs an Associate National Equipment Specialist, you'll play a key role in deploying and supporting water treatment systems throughout the United States and Canada. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring equipment operates efficiently through commissioning, maintenance, and repair, all while traveling extensively to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and train customers on water treatment systems, including both proprietary and third-party equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues with electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct routine servicing and performance checks to maintain optimal system function.
- Offer practical recommendations to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Document service activities accurately and submit reports according to established guidelines.
- Provide responsive support via site visits and phone consultations to address customer needs.
- Work closely with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously and ensure all fieldwork meets compliance standards.
- Manage on-site schedules to meet project deadlines and service expectations.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude. A valid driver’s license and passport are required due to frequent cross-border travel. You should be comfortable spending up to five consecutive days away from home each week.
An associate degree in a technical discipline is preferred. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of hands-on experience with systems including PLCs, VFDs, AC/DC motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pump assemblies.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with 80–100% travel across the U.S. and occasional trips to Canada. Travel follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule, with return home by Friday evening. Weekend assignments may occur intermittently based on project demands.
