What You'll Do
Lead the installation, setup, and adaptation of sensor-based sorting systems at customer facilities throughout Belgium, the Netherlands, and Northern Germany. Serve as the primary technical contact on-site, ensuring systems meet operational requirements and customer expectations. Analyze client workflows to recommend customized solutions and support the development of new applications.
Develop and refine application models and algorithms to improve system accuracy and efficiency. Integrate new and updated technology into existing production lines, aligning with both technical standards and customer needs. Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades, and performance tuning to maintain optimal functionality.
Diagnose complex technical issues and collaborate with internal specialists to resolve problems quickly. Provide direct support to field engineers, both remotely and in person. Create training materials and lead sessions for customers and internal teams. Contribute to knowledge sharing by documenting processes and improving data-driven insights across the organization.
Requirements
You have completed formal education or vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a closely related technical discipline. You are comfortable interpreting electrical diagrams and using standard hand tools. Adherence to electrical safety regulations is a core part of your work approach.
Fluency in Dutch and English is required. You are prepared to travel frequently—over 80% of your time—with extended stays at customer locations. You work independently, focus on practical solutions, and take ownership of your responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in field service, equipment installation, or industrial maintenance is advantageous. Knowledge of German is beneficial but not required.
