The Application Engineer plays a key role in delivering Engineer-to-Order (ETO) solutions by ensuring the technical integrity of Motor Control Center systems. This position bridges engineering and manufacturing, providing hands-on support to resolve design and production challenges efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assess project specifications and develop practical technical approaches.
- Act as a primary point of contact for on-site manufacturing issues, escalating concerns when necessary and ensuring timely resolution.
- Support documentation accuracy by updating bills of materials, electrical schematics, layouts, and mechanical drawings.
- Assist remote engineers by carrying out on-site tasks and verifying work in progress.
- Monitor project milestones from build initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements.
- Coordinate activities across departments to maintain quality and project timelines.
- Verify compatibility between hardware and software components within control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of professional experience in an engineering or technical support role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in automation systems or Low/Medium Voltage Motor Control Centers.
- Familiarity with electrical standards such as NEC, UL, CSA, and IEC.
- Experience using SAP for data management and workflow tracking.
- Fluency in English; strong working ability in Spanish (minimum 80% proficiency).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and CREO parametric for design and documentation.
- Strong command of Microsoft business applications.
