As an Associate Digital Editor, you’ll play a key role in shaping high-impact digital communications for Democratic and nonprofit organizations. Working remotely, you’ll ensure every message—whether email, text, social post, or landing page—is polished, accurate, and technically sound. Your attention to detail will help maintain the credibility and effectiveness of time-sensitive campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Review and edit digital content daily, focusing on clarity, tone, and adherence to AP Style and client-specific guidelines
- Conduct thorough fact-checking across all materials to ensure accuracy and trustworthiness
- Perform technical QA on email templates and landing pages, verifying tracking parameters, link functionality, and cross-device rendering
- Ensure messaging aligns with both internal standards and the unique voice of each client
- Collaborate across teams to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
Requirements
- Up to three years of experience in editing, proofreading, or a related role, including internships
- Familiarity with style guides, particularly AP Style
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision in every task
- Ability to manage multiple assignments under pressure while delivering error-free work
- Demonstrated interest in advancing social good and public welfare
Preferred Qualifications
- Skill in interpreting policy language and translating it for broad audiences
- Basic understanding of HTML and digital publishing tools
- Experience using Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace in a remote setting
