Dallas Baptist University's Carter School of Business (CSB) is hiring a full-time Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs to begin in June 2026. This role provides critical oversight and leadership for all undergraduate business programs and supports the undergraduate department chairs.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and coordinate all undergraduate business programs.
- Coordinate with faculty and staff on curriculum matters including degree requirements, course rotation, faculty course staffing, degree plans, and catalog information.
- Connect with relevant organizations and businesses to promote the program(s) and secure possible employment opportunities for students.
- Teach a variety of business courses consistent with program needs and academic credentials.
- Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry trends and best practices and incorporate experiential learning opportunities.
- Work with the scheduling coordinator on undergraduate course offerings, scheduling, Continuous Progress, and Independent Studies.
- Work with Program Directors and Department Chairs on undergraduate course rotations, staffing undergraduate courses, submitting undergraduate curriculum changes, and recruiting and hiring new faculty for undergraduate programs.
- Provide leadership and oversight for all undergraduate business programs and program directors.
- Track the progress of the undergraduate business programs in meeting the goals and initiatives in the School of Business strategic plan.
- Participate in assurance of learning processes, evaluations, assessments, and reporting as necessary to maintain university and business school accreditations.
- Maintain office hours to mentor and advise students.
- Participate in faculty meetings and serve on university committees.
- Participate in campus events including commencement, and assist in hosting business-related functions and events on campus.
- Model genuine Christian faith in and beyond the classroom.
- Intentionally and explicitly integrate the Christian faith with teaching and scholarship.
- Participate in various forms of professional development sponsored by the University and external organizations.
- Coordinate with the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs on all matters related to program administration, class scheduling, student advising, and recruitment and retention efforts.
- Coordinate with the Dean on all matters related to program administration, program promotion, recruitment, and retention for undergraduate business programs.
- Coordinate with University Communications and the Dean to effectively promote the program(s) and keep marketing materials updated.
