Leading Edge seeks an Associate, Communications to help execute and iterate our communication practices to ensure the success of a new organizational strategy. Reporting to the VP, Communications, you will build a range of communications products, handle external communications, and manage related administration. Leading Edge strengthens the Jewish nonprofit field to help it better serve both the Jewish community and the broader world.
What You'll Do
- Build web pages and emails.
- Create and schedule social media posts.
- Draft copy.
- Perform light graphic design.
- Build partner share-out toolkits.
- Communicate with communications professionals at partner organizations.
- Provide customer/stakeholder service related to the CareerHub platform.
- Keep CRM system organized and up to date.
- Keep Comms Calendar & shared project management tools up to date.
- Help coordinate collaboration with teams and departments across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- At least one year of full-time professional experience in a nonprofit communications role.
- A good writer in English.
- A fast synthesizer of complex information.
- Able to tell the same story in multiple ways to appeal to different audiences.
- Adept at learning new software and tools.
- A reliable self-starter, skilled at managing your time and balancing competing priorities.
- Comfortable asking for help.
- Emotionally intelligent and skilled at collaboration.
- Comfortable working cordially across differences of strategy, tactics, viewpoint, and background.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the North American Jewish community and its nonprofit institutions and culture.
- Proficiency with Mailchimp, Salesforce, and/or the Adobe Creative Suite.

You will report to the VP, Communications and work closely with the Senior Associate and Senior Manager, Communications.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $63,000 – $68,000
- 100% coverage for employees and 50% coverage for spouses and dependents for medical, dental, and vision.
