Hyatt Regency Lake Washington is looking for an Assistant Manager to drive our core HR functions. This role is central to fostering a positive and productive hotel environment through recruitment, development, and employee support.
What You'll Do
- Assist in hiring processes including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
- Coordinate onboarding programs to integrate new employees into the hotel's culture.
- Organize training sessions on hospitality standards, safety, and customer service.
- Monitor employee progress and recommend skill development initiatives.
- Support conflict resolution and grievance handling.
- Promote engagement activities to boost morale and retention.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, hotel policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain employee records and assist in audits.
- Help managers conduct performance appraisals and track KPIs.
- Provide feedback and coaching to improve staff performance.
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and hospitality standards.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of hotel industry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Executive HR role.
- Fluency in English and local languages for effective communication.
