About the Role

Hilton is hiring an Assistant Human Resources Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Director of Human Resources with daily operations, provide coaching resources for management, and advise on strategic HR initiatives to support our mission of creating remarkable hospitality experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise team members in the HR office, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Liaise with local government authorities regarding labor law, relations, and arbitration cases.
  • Prepare procedures concerning labor contracts for team members.
  • Develop and maintain team member relations programs, including social activities, service awards, and counseling.
  • Handle recruitment according to hotel business requirements and manning situations.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for Level 8 and above team members.
  • Supervise records on sick leave, medical expenses, misconduct, and personnel action forms.
  • Supervise and support the HR Supervisor in managing team member facilities and Compensation & Benefits operations.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas, team member restaurants, and locker rooms.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality within the HR department.
  • Initiate new and improved systems to upgrade all personnel filing systems and records.
  • Handle arbitration cases to protect the hotel’s interests.
  • Address team member complaints and communicate with other departments.
  • Lead HR audits and standardize HR operations.
  • Build HR policies and procedures to increase department efficiency.
  • Foster an environment of support with other departments.
  • Carry out manning analyses, exit interviews, and turnover analyses.
  • Ensure team members maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Conduct HR-related market surveys to promptly adjust strategy.
  • Handle foreigner work permits and visa applications.
  • Discipline team members.
  • Assume the duties of the Director of HR during his/her absence.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all team members understand and adhere to hotel rules and regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • College degree and above.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the hotel industry.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar position with an international brand hotel.
  • Good analysis and planning skills.
  • Open-minded and a good team player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English to meet business needs.
  • Good relationship with the local labour bureau and government agencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR modules and department operations.
  • Possess basic business and financial sense.
  • Strong ownership and result-driven attitude.
  • Good organization and presentation skills.

Team & Environment

You will assist the Director of Human Resources and report directly to them.

Work Mode

This position is onsite.
