We are hiring an AI/ML Engineer to design and implement effective AI solution architecture to address complex Marine Corps operational needs. In this role, you will apply your advanced technical expertise to develop innovative solutions, work with considerable autonomy, and mentor other team members.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement effective AI solution architecture utilizing various AI technologies and methods.
• Apply advanced technical expertise and full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members, as needed.
• Contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies.
• Help clients navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.
• Develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats.
• Support project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms.
• Develop and maintain scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis.
• Create software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience with artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning engineering, software engineering, data research, or data analytics.
• 4+ years of experience with software development or engineering, including in an academic or professional environment.
• Experience with generative and agentic AI technologies, such as LLMs, MCP, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Experience with a programming language, including Python, C#, or Java.
• Knowledge of modern software design patterns, including microservice design or edge computing.
• Ability to create solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting data into usable formats and support scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

• Experience with embedded systems programming in C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with integrating coding agents, such as Cursor or Windsurf, into an efficient development pipeline with measured results.
• Ability to develop and maintain scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis.
• Ability to create software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
