Avantgarde is hiring a DeFi Trade and Reporting Associate to build robust DeFi trade and investment reporting frameworks. You will be integral to our operational success, managing vaults, executing on-chain trades, and championing a culture of process efficiency and data accuracy.

What You'll Do

Manage wallets and vaults set up with bespoke infrastructure, including developing processes for vault operations and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Assist with the BAU cadence of vault operations across multiple vault architectures, including rebalancing and NAV posting.
Review, assess, and approve or reject trade recommendations for entities.
Assume end-to-end responsibility for on-chain trading activity adhering to process and best execution parameters.
Coordinate trade execution and multi-party signing processes between portfolio management team and third-party vault owners.
Work with third-party providers to enforce transaction-level compliance and risk controls, including proactive management of internal protocol allow lists.
Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, delays, and other problems presented throughout the trade life cycle.
Manage post-trade record keeping processes and assist in the analysis of trading costs, reporting results to the COO.
Draft new processes and improve existing processes using gained experience to drive continuous improvement.
Manage quarterly revenue claim process across all vault infrastructure, ensuring timely execution, reconciliation, and reporting.
Own client reporting; gather requirements from Business Development, translate them into technical specs for the data team, and champion the build-out of a unified client reporting framework.
Establish a suite of templates and outputs such as quarterly reports, monthly factsheets, and ad-hoc client reports.
Own internal reporting; develop an internal reporting framework to ensure accurate reconciliation of commercial revenue shares and commissions, and deliver clear analytical insights.
Develop a deep knowledge of Avantgarde strategies and work with the Data & Infrastructure team to enable independent access to relevant data.
Proactively troubleshoot operational and reporting needs for clients and continuously seek to improve operational processes.
Assist with client onboarding activity and client queries.

What We're Looking For

A high level of integrity, as you will be executing smart contract transactions that impact vault performance.
Ability to execute simple database queries to independently retrieve structured data for reporting tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and common sense.
A detail-oriented mindset, with an understanding of the importance of documentation and record keeping.
Enthusiasm for DeFi and crypto, with an understanding of the on-chain ecosystem.
Hands-on experience with on-chain transactions and smart contract interactions.
Demonstrated experience with Gnosis SAFE infrastructure and hardware wallets.
Experience with best execution processes and trading cost analysis.
A self-starter with a strong desire to drive efficiency in internal processes.
A good communicator and critical thinker with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multitask to achieve multiple deadlines.
Core hours within a UTC +/- 2 timezone strongly preferred.
Flexibility to be online and support operationally 7 days a week as needed.

Nice to Have

3 - 5 years of relevant experience as DeFi Operations or Trade Support within crypto and/or on the buyside in TradFi.
Experience with managing vaults, pooled investment strategies, and multi-signature mandates.
Working knowledge in Python and an interest to expand your technical skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Python for task automation.
Familiarity with SQL queries.
