About the Role

The role involves creating and interpreting hydraulic simulations to support civil and environmental projects, ensuring systems are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate hydraulic and hydrologic models for water distribution and stormwater systems
  • Conduct flow analysis for drainage, floodplains, and wastewater networks
  • Support design teams with data-driven modeling insights
  • Perform simulations to predict system performance under various conditions
  • Collaborate with engineers and planners on infrastructure projects
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and regulators
  • Use software tools such as EPANET, SWMM, HEC-RAS, or equivalent
  • Evaluate system capacity and identify potential improvements
  • Assist in the development of master plans for water resources
  • Ensure modeling practices meet industry standards and project requirements
  • Participate in field data collection and site assessments
  • Integrate GIS data into modeling workflows
  • Troubleshoot model discrepancies and refine inputs for accuracy
  • Present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support environmental compliance and permitting efforts
  • Work on projects involving urban development, transportation, and municipal systems
  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex water management challenges
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modeling methodologies and software
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across project phases
  • Contribute to project scheduling and deliverables tracking
