Cargill is hiring an Advisor, Strategic Account Manager

About the Role

In this remote role within Canada, you will be responsible for expanding our strategic partnership with assigned strategic foodservice customers. You will create demand for our products and services by raising our profile with customers and collaborating with other teams to ensure their needs are met.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement strategy for designated key customers to expand demand, improve margin growth, and extend strategic partnership.
  • Establish trust, mutually beneficial, and long-term partnerships with customers, clarify mid to long-term customer needs, and develop a specification of customer requirements.
  • Provide training and sales direction for our partner sales broker.
  • Collect insights from the external market to understand competitors and influence trends, and define and deliver our value proposition.
  • Build and maintain a strong internal network to drive effective solutions through cross‑functional collaboration, strategic long‑term planning, and proactive anticipation of challenges.
  • Use tailored storytelling that resonates with and inspires customers, creating excitement around our role in achieving their strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field, work with limited direction, and may provide direction to supporting team members as a strategic contributor.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience, with 10 years or more being typical.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience in understanding customer context, uncovering customer key performance indicators, articulating customer objectives, and adding value to partnerships.
  • Experience in business development in highly competitive, mature markets.
  • Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s Licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of the beef industry and selling experience.
  • Experience managing strategic corporate account programs.
  • Knowledge and proven track record of effectively navigating the North American food service business.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, working cross‑functionally to drive alignment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred, as approximately 25% of this role involves supporting clients in Quebec.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $118,000-$158,000 per annum.

This is a remote position open to candidates across Canada.
