University of Cincinnati was looking for an Adjunct Instructor

The University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for its School of Architecture and Interior Design (SAID). This part-time role focuses on delivering professional knowledge in a team setting and providing one-on-one instruction within the studio environment.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars on a part-time basis.
  • Deliver professional knowledge to students in a team setting while working closely with students individually in the studio.
  • Teach in the cross-disciplinary foundation program, potentially including introductory courses such as SAID1001, SAID1002, or SAID2001.
  • Potentially teach upper-division undergraduate and graduate studios.
  • Potentially teach subject-area support courses in construction technology, building systems, architectural history/theory and historic preservation, and professional practice.
  • Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of teaching responsibilities.
  • Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.

What We're Looking For

  • A Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

You will be part of the School of Architecture and Interior Design (SAID) within the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).
