Chainguard is hiring an Accounting Manager

Chainguard is hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee our monthly and quarterly close, technical accounting, and financial reporting. You will ensure the accuracy of our financial statements and build scalable, automated processes to support our growth.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review key monthly close deliverables including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Research and document technical accounting concepts, including guidance on new standards and complex transactions across revenue, capitalized software, equity, and leases.
• Build and implement scalable accounting systems and workflows, leveraging a tech-first mindset to utilize AI and automation.
• Establish, document, and perform internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support external audits, including coordinating with auditors and preparing audit materials.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in FP&A, Legal, IT, People Ops, and other business units.

What We're Looking For

• CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with a track record of streamlining processes and close cycles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely.

Nice to Have

• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years in a similar capacity at a fast-growing company.
• Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems; experience implementing or optimizing NetSuite a plus.

• Compensation: $128,000 - $150,000 USD
