Fastbreak AI is hiring an Account Manager for Fastbreak Travel, our AI-powered solution for group travel in sports. You will serve as the primary contact for sports event organizers and operators, cultivating lasting partnerships and driving revenue growth for this innovative product.
What You'll Do
- Develop and expand accounts by focusing on year-over-year growth through strategic planning, contract negotiation, and upselling.
- Build and nurture strong partner relationships through regular communication to meet short and long-term goals.
- Gain deep understanding of partners’ business needs, challenges, and industry trends to provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular partner reviews to ensure satisfaction, identify opportunities, and address improvements.
- Manage partner expectations while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Monitor account performance and forecast key metrics to ensure targets are achieved.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet partner commitments and operational needs.
- Provide software training to partners so they maximize the benefits of the Fastbreak Travel platform.
- Partner with clients and our internal development team to refine and grow the platform’s capabilities.
- Handle administrative tasks including strategy documents, CRM management, event renewals, and complimentary room allocations.
- Manage your partner portfolio, including escalations, event projections, risk management, and retention strategies.
- Contribute to team knowledge by helping refine best practices and training resources.
- Assist with Team and VIP blocking strategies.
- Provide on-call support for the company emergency after-hours phone line on a rotating schedule.
- Occasionally travel to support tradeshows and other business needs.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of account management experience in sports, technology, marketing, or hospitality.
- Post-secondary education (BA/BS degree).
- Proven success in account management with experience presenting, building relationships, and growing partnerships.
- Understanding of the youth and amateur sports market.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with strong interpersonal and client-facing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and thrive as part of a team.
- Skilled at multitasking and adapting quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable learning and using proprietary software.
Nice to Have
- Sport-specific knowledge is a huge asset, especially in basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and/or lacrosse.
- Familiarity with the hotel industry, brand standards, and contract processes is an advantage.
- CRM experience (e.g., Intercom, Salesforce) is preferred.
