This is a senior hunter sales role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise focused on acquiring new business and driving revenue growth within the Cloud Service Provider sector. The Account Manager will lead outbound sales, build executive relationships, position HPE's edge-to-cloud and AI solutions, and orchestrate cross-functional teams to close complex deals.
What You'll Do
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with key influencers and decision-makers
- Understands customer IT and business objectives to align HPE solutions with their priorities
- Comfortable and experienced with engagement and cultivating executive relationships
- Builds and executes plans to drive growth and profitability
- Identifies opportunities, leads pipeline building, and drives deals to closure through multi-disciplinary teams
- Applies knowledge of the AI market landscape and experience selling HPE HPC/AI solutions to drive sales and customer engagement
- Develops and governs partner relationships to maximize HPE's presence in accounts
- Leads the extended account team, providing feedback and guidance to ensure successful sales engagements
- Owns overall account responsibility for pipeline and forecasting
- Executes against both growth and profitability goals across HPE's portfolio by positioning strategic solutions
- Builds strong customer relationships with a heavy focus on executive level interactions
- Leverages partner ecosystems
- Orchestrates resources for account pursuits, acting as quarterback
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Typically, 6+ years of account management experience in the IT industry
- Understanding and experience selling HPE AI products and solutions
- 2+ years of hunting net new logos
- Proven ability to deliver on sales objectives and close complex deals
- Skilled in articulating a vision aligned with HPE's strategy
- Experienced in leading teams in a complex matrix organization
- Must be based in San Jose, CA

Compensation: Annual Salary USD 221,000 - 456,500 in California (combined base and target-level sales compensation at 100% of sales plan, with 60% base salary and 40% target-level sales compensation)
Work Mode
This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home. Location: San Jose, CA.
