VERB is hiring an Account Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for our clients, responsible for managing relationships, providing strategic direction, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to drive client success.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage client relationships and projects, proactively offering sound solutions
- Foster positive working relationships through frequent, professional communication
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts by proposing new solutions based on client needs
- Oversee marketing retainers and projects in partnership with subject matter experts
- Oversee small to medium scale web development and digital marketing projects from Discovery to Launch
- Manage overall project timelines with the support of Project Managers and Account Coordinators
- Uphold day-to-day project management expectations, including daily stand-ups and Jira follow-up
- Manage overall project budgets and work to find efficiencies while keeping projects within scope
- Collaborate with all relevant VERB departments, engaging experts on projects
- Maintain a working knowledge of client brand standards and assets
- Uncover and articulate research, insights, and strategic models to advance client interests
- Keep senior management informed of project progress and communicate potential issues early
- Ensure all deliverables are tested, proofed, and reviewed against requirements for quality
- Own the final quality control for all client-facing deliverables
- Mentor Account Coordinators, supporting their career development and onboarding
- Be a champion for positive employee morale by encouraging and energizing the team
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to present to clients and internal management
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing
- Proficiency in administrative tasks like building decks, pulling budgets, and contact reports
- The ability to manage timelines and budgets while collaborating with subject matter experts
- Highly proactive with initiative to find creative solutions to problems
- A working understanding of SEO, SEM, web analytics, social and traditional media
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
