Leica Biosystems is hiring an Account Manager for Life Science Research to own, manage, and grow our microscopy business in the broader Dresden, Leipzig, Jena, and Magdeburg area. You will be responsible for developing strategies to win new business while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.

What You'll Do

Own, manage, and grow microscopy business in the broader Dresden, Leipzig, Jena, Magdeburg area.
Maintain existing accounts and find new customers to reach growth targets.
Develop strategies to win new business through advanced geographic key account planning, account mapping, and networking.
Deploy, coordinate, and leverage a team of Advanced Workflow Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, Marketing colleagues, and Channel Partners.
Be the decision-maker on how to serve customers in the defined geographic account area.
Manage opportunities and the sales funnel proactively to produce accurate forecasts for business planning.
Be customer-facing and proactive, with an expectation to be on-site with customers three days a week.
Provide regular weekly reporting on the sales funnel and other key metrics.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Pharmacy, or related field preferred)
Strong and proven sales experience in a relevant industry
Hands-on, operational sales capabilities with a strategic and structured mindset
Strong communication skills and sound business acumen, driven to exceed targets and reach goals
Ability to travel 40%, overnight, within territory or locations
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Nice to Have

Previous exposure to microscopy, spatial biology and/or proteomics strongly preferred
