UnitedHealthcare is hiring an Account Executive for its Student Resources division. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting new College or University clients for Student Health Insurance Plans (SHIP) while also maintaining relationships and renewals for existing UnitedHealthcare Student Resources clients. You'll manage a mix of small to large-size prospects, playing a key role in growing this specialized market.
What You'll Do
- Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities by evaluating customer needs for student health insurance.
- Maintain clear documentation in the sales CRM regarding the insurance carrier, broker, Third Party Administrator, and expected membership.
- Identify opportunities for Ancillary/Enterprise products that will assist in writing fully insured business.
- Effectively manage assigned accounts and responsibilities, meeting established deadlines for new business quotes and client renewals.
- Convey written and spoken information effectively in a clear and concise manner.
- Present a positive image of UnitedHealthcare Student Resources in the marketplace.
- Generate new business by managing an individual sales pipeline.
- Schedule meetings with prospective clients to educate them on UHCSR services and e-Tools.
- Serve as a key liaison between the prospect/client and administration teams such as claims, customer service, underwriting, compliance, and policy services.
- Prospect by documenting the client’s current insurance information and scheduling/participating in direct or broker-driven sales meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Licensed to sell Health Insurance or ability to obtain upon hire.
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel 25% (domestic).
