About the Role

NBCUniversal is hiring an Account Executive to join our NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 operations in San Diego. You will be responsible for generating revenue and building relationships by selling our multi-platform properties. This role focuses on strategic business development and consultative selling, addressing client needs across linear, OTT, and digital platforms, including major tentpole events.

What You'll Do

  • Meet and exceed revenue goals by selling the NBC/Telemundo duopoly, Peacock/OTT, digital solutions, and high-profile event sponsorships.
  • Drive new business while maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients and agency stakeholders.
  • Develop customized, consultative proposals based on client marketing objectives using our full suite of advertising products.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, creative, and support teams to craft high-impact campaigns.
  • Prospect through cold calls and networking, maintaining accurate documentation in CRM tools.
  • Entertain and engage clients to nurture lasting partnerships, including attendance at non-business hour events.
  • Stay informed on market trends and research data to refine sales strategies and proposals.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years in media, advertising, or related sales roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software and data tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • 3+ years of broadcast, digital, or OTT advertising experience with a proven track record.
  • Knowledge of Nielsen audience data or similar research tools.
  • Skilled in business development from prospecting through closing.
  • Strong background in digital media sales and articulating multi-platform campaign benefits.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
