About the Role

McKesson is hiring an Account Executive to join our Multi-Specialty Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing business relationships with key stakeholders within community Multi-Specialty and Retina Clinics, managing 10-15 existing customers in the Northeast Region.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Physicians, Administrators, C-suite, Pharmacists, Nurses, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential opportunities for McKesson to deliver differentiated and routine value to each customer.
  • Support the development of Therapeutic Interchange meetings (TIC), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and End of Quarter GPO optimization meetings.
  • Act as the single contact for McKesson Provider Solutions within each customer to ensure support staff and subject matter experts deliver on commitments.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including GPO Clinical Specialists, Customer Success Managers, Customer Care, Medically Integrated Dispensing, Advisory Services, Finance, Pricing, and Operations.
  • Manage territory effectively to achieve annual performance objectives including Gross Profit, Revenue performance to plan, and Territory Revenue Under Contract (TRUC).

What We're Looking For

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a business development or account management role within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, preferably in multi-specialty.
  • Proven track record of success in building long-term client relationships and establishing trusted partnerships at multiple customer levels.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology business, including purchasing trends, reimbursement models, drug pipeline, and clinic operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and internal McKesson analytics systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Able to travel extensively overnight in the region to customers by car & plane (4 days/week).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean, active, unrestricted driving record/MVR.
  • Remote/Home Office work environment & must live within the territory.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience with an emphasis in Health Administration, Communications, or other healthcare-related field.
  • For external candidates, we prefer a minimum of 4 years’ experience.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid position. You must live within the territory, which includes Northeastern US states such as NY, NJ, MD, DE, and PA. The role involves extensive regional travel.
