Pavago is hiring an Account Executive to own the entire sales process end-to-end, from first touch to close and clean handoff. This is a full-cycle closing role focused on running structured, consultative sales conversations with small business owners in a process-driven, tech-forward environment.
What You'll Do
- Own the complete sales cycle: inbound + outbound → pre-qualification → booked calls → discovery → proposal → close → clean handoff
- Run structured 45-minute discovery calls and 10-minute pricing previews
- Close 3+ new clients per week by executing a repeatable, disciplined sales process
- Present proposals the same day and confidently move deals to close
- Speak directly with overwhelmed small business owners, guiding conversations calmly and clearly
- Ask strong discovery questions to uncover real business pain
- Discuss pricing confidently without hesitation or reliance on discounting
- Maintain strict pipeline hygiene: every lead has a next step and follow-up date
- Execute multi-touch follow-up sequences independently
- Close deals without relying on others to chase, rescue, or intervene
- Work across approximately 20 different systems and tools
- Complete structured onboarding through self-paced learning modules and quizzes
- Use internal knowledge bases and AI-powered resources to solve problems independently
- Adapt quickly in a process-heavy, organized, and AI-forward environment
What We're Looking For
- Proven full-cycle closing experience (lead to closed-won); not SDR-only or appointment setting
- Experience selling to small and medium-sized business owners
- Comfortable running structured calls and closing without hesitation
- Strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management mindset
- Experience selling recurring monthly offers (subscriptions or retainers)
- Ability to clearly explain past performance metrics (quota, close rate, pipeline)
- Experience in speed-to-lead, high-volume sales environments
- High level of independence and self-service problem-solving
- Emotional resilience and ability to handle feeling overwhelmed early without disengaging
- Thrive in structured environments with clear processes and expectations
- Take ownership of numbers, outcomes, and execution
- Confident, steady, and clear when guiding SMB owners through decisions
- Prefer consultative selling over pressure or price-based tactics
Nice to Have
- Experience selling accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, HR, fintech, SaaS, or merchant services to SMBs
- Familiarity with basic business finance concepts (cash flow, P&L, bookkeeping challenges)
- Background in payroll (ADP, Paychex, Gusto), PEO, HR/benefits, payments, lending, or SMB SaaS sales
